The 2011 MCM awards were announced today, and Filson's web site and catalog have swept their categories. Filson took 'Gold' as the best web site in the category: 'Apparel, Sales Under $20 Million'. Next they brought home the similar award for their catalog, winning the Gold award for 'Apparel, Sales under $20 Million. At the end of the day they took home one more piece of hardware, the top award given: Multichannel Merchant of the Year.

One judge explained the reasons for the award, "The photography, clean layout, readable fonts, logical navigation and clear cohesiveness of all these elements create a home page that entices the visitor to click to see more." Another added. "I love that the site's Rate & Review feature allows shoppers to rate items on various attributes." Still another raved, "The Refine Your Search by Activity is fantastic."

At the end one of the strongest aspects of Filson that judges responded to was Filson's guarantee, that has stood strong for 113 years: "We guarantee every item purchased from us. No more, no less. Your satisfaction is the sole purpose of our transaction."

The Multichannel Merchant awards are handed out annually at their MCM Live annual conference. The decision was made by a panel of 27 judges chosen from Filson's peer companies that belong to MCM. Past winners of Multichannel Merchant of the Year include: L.L. Bean, Orvis and Crutchfield.
