Title Nine Launches New Responsive Website
Title Nine is an active apparel retailer based out of Emeryville, California, with 22 stores, a loyal catalog audience and an Ecommerce site built on the Kibo Omnichannel Commerce platform. ZaneRay was contracted in early 2016 to redesign titlenine.com as the company moved their store onto the latest Kibo responsive version.
ZaneRay and Title Nine teamed up throughout the spring and summer of 2016 to work through a redesign that would update the site to be responsive and modernize their look and feel. The goal was to get the site on brand, and enhance the customer experience, especially on mobile. Working inside the structure of the Kibo platform was important, and as this was the first Kibo site ZaneRay has designed, it took careful consideration to produce a site that hit all the needs of the brand, while still being easy to program by Kibo.
In addition to the the new look, the new site also features enhanced social media presence on the site, including Instagram photos from customers living the Title Nine lifestyle. Further upgrades also include, suggestive selling, enhanced customer reviews, full-width lifestyle images, larger product imagery and greatly enhanced navigation.
Title 9 is a great brand with a rich and fascinating culture. In rigid ecommerce templating platforms, attention to detail is key. Branding is often compromised to fit the template, resulting in a stale or generic user experience. With Title9, nothing went untouched. We looked for every opportunity to highlight the brand. Having a Kibo expert on the title-9 team helped identify areas where we could push the design.
Modern tools were also very important. With in-house development, we play a bit more fast and loose as design and development happens between desks. Using Sketch and Zeplin rather than photoshop ensured specs were explicit and easily followed by Kibo's off-shore development team.
“Working with the T9 team was inspiring. It is great to work with a client who really knows their branding voice and identity and who challenges us to incorporate that every step of the way.” said Penny Porterfield, VP of Business Development.
The site launched in February of 2017 and has been well received by the T9 audience.
