Precision Fit is one of a collection of properties that has recently been acquired into a larger family of automotive ‘cover’ retailers, with Precision Fit focusing on interior made-to-order covers (seat covers, floor mats, etc.). The intent of the new owners was to build and improve upon a foundation of the already successful automobile ‘cover’ ecommerce sites by introducing new design elements and tools to optimize performance and improve upon the overall shopping experience.
As a part of the new design approach, ZaneRay proposed to shift the purchase path by focusing the shopper to shop by vehicle type first rather than selecting a product or products to start. This approach inspired the positioning of the car selection tool to be front and center on the homepage, and once the vehicle type was selected, the vehicle was placed in the ‘garage’, a place to park and save your vehicle type for all future shopping experiences on the site. This added a nice personalization approach to the overall shopping experience by ensuring that the experience was customized to represent all products that are specific to the vehicle they own.
Precision Fit also made the decision to work with ZaneRay’s Customer Success team to help optimize their site on a monthly basis. The Success Team conducts a monthly in-depth site analysis, providing recommendations for optimization to improve upon the overall performance of the site over time.
