CC Filson has a brand with rich history and quality American Made products that have stood the test of time. They were looking for an eCommerce partner that could help them more aggressively and effectively sell online. ZaneRay was engaged to redesign and re-platform the site in 2010 to help Filson realize sales goals and to be in the driver's seat with their eCommerce offering.
The Filson site employs some very effective shopping tools that offer users access to Filson's custom approach to their products. For some products, Filson offers custom hemming, tall sizing, and additional special features that are all integrated into the product page so shoppers have full access to view and select these options. A unique and powerful compare tool provides shoppers the ability to compare all types of products side by side, feature by feature.
Filson included a "Filson Life" feature for their site that integrates some of their rich content demonstrating their true passion for the outdoors. Brand enthusiasts can submit stories and the featured lifestyle imagery will draw you into their culture rich heritage.
Exceeding all expectations, the site won the Multi-Channel Merchant of the Year award in 2011, taking gold for eCommerce for businesses under $20 million, and gold for their catalog in the same category. The Multichannel Merchant awards are handed out annually at the MCM Live annual conference. The decision was made by a panel of 27 judges chosen from Filson's peer companies that belong to MCM. Past winners of Multichannel Merchant of the Year include: L.L. Bean, Orvis and Crutchfield.
