The Patagonia site is a full-on, high volume, complex e-commerce effort. The site underwent a complete redesign, launching in 2006, which was a collaborative effort between Patagonia emedia designers and editors, The Royal Order - a Chicago-based design firm, Patagonia technical staff and ZaneRay.

The new site is a 3rd generation effort that is actually several sites in one. Pro.patagonia.com serving Patagonia professional customers, jp.patagonia.com serving Japan, eu.patagonia.com serving Europe. The site is available in 4 languages: English, Japanese, German and French, with additional languages planned for the future. patagonia.com supports multiple currencies and each site has content and product lines specific to the customer base. A dealernet is also part of their online initiative, allowing Patagonia dealers to securely access and place orders online.

The site content and features reflect Patagonia's commitment to quality technical clothing and also to the environment. Ajax layers for product displays, combined with a visual shopping bag holster and large page views places Patagonia in the forefront of original shopping experiences. ZaneRay continues to play the lead technical role for the site with the site employing ZaneRay's ZCommerce ZFoundation tools and technology.

When Nixon Watches came to ZaneRay several years ago, they had a nice looking site - all static - but they wanted to have more control of their content and wanted to do a soft-sell online. They were ready to make the investment to get real with their ecommerce efforts.  The plan was to create a site that would grow with their vision, as a fun site for a compnay that was serious about their business, and with a future that included Interational marketing and distribution.

The Nixon site today is based on ZFoundation ZCommerce tools and features several unique ideas Nixon wanted to implement - the watch grid, watch compare, collections, the team and ad sections - and ZFoundation allow us to create these custom abilities using production proven components. The site is multi-lingual (including Japanese Kanji), handles International transactions and sells hard goods and soft. Nixon also recently launched a VIP customer site in both the US and Canada. Nixon has complete control of the site content.

The site is a collaborative effort between Nixon and ZaneRay.

Competitive Cyclist is a bike shop in Little Rock, Arkansas selling "high-end" road bikes - bikes in the $2000 to $15,000 range. They had a simple site that was doing some sales by phone referral. CC's vision however, was to have a site that was on-par with the best online bike shops.

A year after the project began, Competitive Cyclist's sales increased beyond all expectations, and every day they receive emails from customers saying they are the best on the web.

Competitive Cyclist is based on ZFoundation tools. As with many ZaneRay projects, they had very unique requests that we fulfilled using the toolset. Unique features like the fit calculator have set this site apart as a leader in their industry. They now have expanded their online offering to mountain bikes and a comprehensive line of bike parts and information found nowhere else on the web.

Competitive Cyclist's site is a collaborative effort between Hinshaw Design and ZaneRay.

Having out-grown their current vendor, they were looking for flexibility, had some unique needs and wished to leverage their site to include a dealer extranet and a promotional site for employees and wholesalers.

They chose ZaneRay initially to assist with their existing site and then migrated the entire site to the ZFoundation tool suite. Horny Toad at the same time changed to a new back end system and ZaneRay programmed the complete integration to this new system. Horny Toad has since launched the dealer extranet and an employee purchase site, all running from the same ZaneRay database and tool suite.

NAU is an urban centric lifestyle apparel brand that had rocky beginnings.  After restructuring and becoming a sister brand to Horny Toad, the new management brought the brand back to life.  The first NAU site was almost entirely delivered in flash, making site maintenance, content management and product changes difficult and costly.  NAU in their rebirth, required a site that would give them full control of all site content with robust content management tools, efficiency in product data management and streamlined transaction processing.

The redesign uses a more traditional ecommerce approach and with the proven power and flexibility of the ZFoundation platform, NAU maintains complete control and management over their site content, and assets.  The company gained great efficiencies in performing season refreshes on their site and also gained economies of scale by utilizing the special fulfillment center utilized by Horny Toad. With the new site and partnerships with Horny Toad and Zaneray, NAU is poised to continue in growth and future success in lifestyle outdoor clothing.

M.S. Rau Antiques is a long established Antiques store in New Orleans.  They have a tradition of high quality and remarkable collections.  Being a landmark in the French Quarter for nearly 100 years, they have established credibility and trust with discerning antiques collectors worldwide.   Facing a significant financial upgrade to the software platform of the previous site, M.S. Rau chose The ZaneRay Group to design and develop a new site for them on the ZFoundation platform.

The new M.S. Rau Antiques site was redesigned to present a clean and professional interface that builds customer confidence and makes branding evident.  Navigation is easy to understand and intuitive.  Products are presented in a clean and detailed fashion offering the user everything they would expect from M.S. Rau while also presenting the human side behind the web in an easy accessible fashion.

By offering site features such as a resource library and rich media presentations, M.S. Rau offers their customers a site that is far above any of their competition.  The site clearly places them as the premier quality and rare antiques in the country if not North America.  Given the nature of the items in their inventory, there was a need to offer viewers the ability to hear the melodious sounds of a rare music box or to see how an item works.  To accomplish this, audio and video was added to many items, allowing a virtual experience of any given article.

Some of the more unique features designed specifically for the site include the ability for a user to save items to “My Collection” that can be shared with a friend or placed into the cart for purchase.  Taking advantage of the exceptional in-house photography that M.S. Rau has for each piece, a slide show is offered for every product, giving the user an armchair viewing of the fine details of each item.  Similarly, when viewing a category of items, you can view the entire collection as a slide show, again offering an arm chair view of the fine collectibles offered by M.S. Rau.

Gaining greater efficiencies in almost every area of site management, M.S. Rau has expressed great excitement and satisfaction with the new site and content management tools.

Hammer Nutrition wanted more control of their content, needed better integration with their internal systems, had complex pricing issues, and wanted to work with a vendor who had the experience to support their eternally expanding enterprise. They chose ZaneRay to work on their next-generation site.

The site reflects ZaneRay's ever-expanding toolset. Every requirement on the site was built by leveraging existing tools. This site was originally designed and programmed by ZaneRay but Hammer has since completed several graphic changes to the site completely independent of ZaneRay. Their technical staff teams with ZaneRay developers to implement changes to their site, largely independently.

This is an example of a customer with their own technical staff that can effect changes in the code of the site in addition to data changes.
