The ZaneRay Group and SnowDog Web Development, Inc announce the Whitefish Corporate Challenge Series (WCCS) coming to Whitefish in 2008. The series will kick off when ZaneRay takes on SnowDog in ping pong, starting lunch hours in January. The two companies have long battled it out in the high tech web development world of Whitefish, but the WCCS will decide who 'the man' really is.

"It's significant really." Said ZaneRay founder Reed Gregerson, "I mean, if you are going to choose a company to do your web site, and they both have mad hops in terms of development skills, then clearly the appearance of the WCCS Challenge Cup featured prominently in their lobby would be the difference maker."

The ping pong challenge will decide the initial home of the WCCS Cup. After that, any Whitefish corporation will be able to challenge the cup holder at whatever event they see fit, and if the challenge is accepted, the winner will have their name inscribed on the cup.

ZaneRay doesn't feel the cup will find another home than their office any time soon.

"Let's be real," stated Creative VP Henry Roberts, "When we look at the match-up with Snow Dog, the advantages are ours in terms of speed, agility, manliness, experience, physicality, and we down-right hold the 'je ne sais qua' by the throat. If you don't mind my saying, we have thicker beards, and we flat out smell better."

Strong words on the eve of a historic meeting.

Snow Dog president Jason Meuter was clearly letting the competition get under his skin when reached via email this week: "Zaneray. What does that even mean? What does it stand for? Who are they really, sasquatches with too much after-shave? I don't know either."

He continued, "SnowDog, now that's a name with meaning. Loyal, strong, team oriented, can bare even the worst of weather conditions, thick skin, beautiful fur, agile, quick, and razor sharp senses. Are we dogs? Figuratively speaking, yes, but we are WOLVES when it comes to competition; We leave nothing to clean up, but the blood that marks our territory."

Off the record a ZaneRay employee questioned whether beautiful fur was really an advantage in ping pong. The truth should be made clear in January.

The Whitefish rumor mill has been alive with talk of what this match-up truly means. Some have gone so far as to speculate this is some kind of team building for the inevitable merger that some estimate could happen as early as 2021.
